Yesterday many of you received a e-mail from Criterion, confirming the rumors of a large batch of catalog titles going out-of-print.  This is directly connected to the recent acquisition by Lionsgate of a large quantity of Studio Canal films. Lionsgate will release Ran, Contempt & Lady Killers on blu-ray in a few weeks. Everyone is still a bit apprehensive about Lionsgate successfully competing with Criterion to embrace the foreign and art-house home entertainment market. Look for reviews of the first waves of Lionsgate’s Studio Canal Blu-ray releases ASAP. Below is a list of titles going OOP by the end of March, 2010.
